The Windsor-Riverside Baseball Association is a member of the Ontario Baseball Association and participates in all levels of travel team competition for youth. As well the Association runs house leagues during the summer season for all who wish to participate and improve their baseball skill. There are 500 players participating in Riverside Leagues.

The Association also sponsors tournaments for school teams and other travel teams from Ontario. The Association will be sponsoring the Baseball Canada Bantam Championship in 2001 and for 4 years following in Windsor. The Riverside Baseball Association also sponsors training for coaches and officials.

The history of minor baseball dates back to the town of Riverside where the Riverside Firefighters operated and sponsored a Pee Wee League for boys in the area. This league in the fifties evolved into the Riverside Minor Baseball League with an elected community board of directors. The league expanded adding both a tyke (which was later renamed Mosquito) and bantam league.

The organization received its first charter as the Riverside Minor Baseball Club in 1964 from the Province of Ontario. The town of Riverside was annexed to Windsor in 1966 but the spirit of Riverside lived on in its sports organizations. The league had added around this time T-Ball and Papoose (which became Rookie ball) leagues for younger children and ran girls leagues in three divisions. The girls league in the early eighties separated from Riverside Baseball and formed their own association.
