99' SEASON REVIEW

The 99 season was very busy and competive as usual at Flat Rock, A.R.C.A. finely reaccuired Toledo Speedway with great
success so track officals did double duty Friday and Saturday night's. My race team started off on a dismal note opening night with a DNF due to being involved in a crash. The next week out we got our only heat race win of the season in heat #1.
Flat Rock repaved the track in 99 and saw many new top times in all divisions, I droped my time to 13.41 for a season high and was pleased with that. I had a tear down in the tech lane early in the season and could not get the intake resealed for some reason or another, anyway after two attempts of watering down the oil at 12 noon on Saturday I decided I was done for making the races that nite and missed a nite in June. The remainder of the season went well and trouble free with us finishing in 8th in the final point standings. The specials at the end of the year.were good as usual But it blew up at Toledo running in the new Sportsman Division, YES, THE CAST CRANK BLUES - broke the sucker right in half. At least it was my last race of the last night and the winter to rebuild.
So in closing this up I feel it was a successful 99 making the top 10  for the 2nd year in a row, Planing on a good season next year in 2000.
