President Brian Rankin
THE 2007 RED WINE COMPETITION WINNER
ERNIE MUNGER

Here is ERNIE MUNGER receiving the trophy from our past President JIM TROFIN (right).
All of our club meetings are held at the homes of our members approximately
every second month. The host provides snacks and a light
lunch
and we each donate a small fee to defray the cost.
Each couple brings one bottle of their favorite wine to be placed into a box. We sell tickets for $1.00 each and draw a winning ticket. Some lucky member can walk home with 13 bottles of wine (or the number in attendance).
We
also bring at least one bottle of wine to enjoy during the meeting. Many members
bring two or three bottles, as they want other members to try their wine and
give them suggestions as to how the wines might be improved. This is an
informal critique by your colleagues. I have discovered many
suggestions that have assisted me in improving my wines. Some suggestions have
also been found to be difficult to attempt or I just wasn’t interested in trying
them. The choice is yours.
