THE TWO GOALS OF THE WGR ARE:

1) Provide a launch pad, or starting point, for gamers. One site to look to for the latest news, no mater what genre of gaming is prefered covering all aspects of gaming. The goal is to provide all of the gaming information you could ever need in just a few clicks.

2) Support an online community of gamers, with a focus on gamers in the Southwest Ontario/Michigan area. A place where gamers can gather as well as get the latest info. With a focus on local events and gamers we are have become a place where people can meet fellow gamers and expand their real life gaming groups. A place to both find out about and organize a game. A place to find new players, or find new games to play.

A BRIEF HISTORY OF THE WGR

I got the idea for this site when I was busy checking all my favorite RPG/miniature news sites. At the time I thought to myself: "wouldn't it be nice to have all of this information in one place." So I went about making a basic portal site for myself, resident on my own PC. Friends who had seen it encouraged me to put it online so they could use it and the WGR was born. Within the first year, I had added the chatroom and forum, and our forum membership grew to over 50 members. We had become more then just a portal but also an online community of gamers.
