The Leamington Skating Club joined the Canadian Figure Skating Association(now Skate Canada) in 1956. Atthat time the non-profit club operated out of teh old Leamington arena which has since been torn down. The club's new home is within the Kinsmen Recreation Complex which features 2 ice surfaces, the Heinz and Unico rinks. Skaters now practice on an Olympic size ice surface. The club has also played host to the 2001 and 2004 BMO Financial Group Skate Canada Western Ontario Sectionals in the new facility.
