Miller Archive: Site History - 3

It is now February, 2006, and the Miller site has over 6,500 pages. One contributor Paula Kuczynski has typed up 23 of Miller's works and his biography, an amazing feat. The site has undergone considerable revision. I have developed software that brakes chapters into pages and provides the correct links. There is now a site map at directory.jr-miller.com, which is updated sporadically and links to all chapters on the site. The home page also lists new additions to the site, so bots are able to index them as they are added. The Google search box was added to most book-index-pages a few months ago, but this has recently been replaced by MSN as Google was failing in its duty. The poetry project is languishing for lack of time.

A reciprocal links page was created in May of 2005, but this month most links were removed as the Christian sites linked to were involved in black hat SEO practices, which is a poor reflection on Christian ethics.

Hosting Insiders is no longer the web host. The reason for the move is as follows. Each book is accorded its own subdomain. At one time this made my life much easier. As the number of subdomains increased it was necessary to upgrade the site and pay more. The last time this happened Hosting insiders failed to respond to my emails for a few weeks so the site was moved to U2-Web hosting. At the same time I took possession of the domain name and paid Go Daddy for two years registration.

The Hod Carrier Project

There are now 28,000 web pages with the phrase Hod Carrier. Even Wikipedia has a stub with a page rank of 4. For some reason my hod carrier page is zero ranked, while other pages at the same level are at PR3. However programmer is at zero so it is unlikely to be penalized. I know this because the page is cached. and indexed by Google. I have lost interest in The Hod Carrier Project as it would absorb too much of my time. It is no longer an easy task which can be achieved with little effort.
