My Brother Knights
I would like to take this
opportunity to wish each of you a happy New Year.
Here we are starting a new year
and we look forward to a setting and achieving goals that we have set. We
do this each year yet when we look to our Councils we feel that what we did
last year will be good enough for this year.
Why the different attitude? Is
it that we are just more comfortable doing what has worked in the past and
we are afraid to try something new for the future? Or is it that we tried
something new and it was not as successful as we wanted?
What ever the reason you should
sit back and evaluate what you have done.
Setting new goals and projects
should be there to not only challenge but to bring new ideas forward from
the membership for their participation.
Each person within the Council
has his strengths and weaknesses. We should look to build on these
strengths and the strength of others. On or two ideas combined together
could put together a tremendous project which could invigorate the Council
to reach new heights.
Look to your new members and your
older members. Remember that they all joined for a reason, to do something
and to give back to Church, Family and Community.
Recruitment of new members should
also be a prime consideration. Take the time to ask a Catholic Gentleman to
join the Knights. Let us make it our goal that no Catholic Gentleman will
be able to say that when they do join the Knights that they have never been
asked before.
Vivat Jesus
