Monument Restoration
A special thank you to all
the volunteers who gave of their time to assist in a very worthy project.
It was brought to the council's attention by Brother Terry Tuer that the
Knights of Columbus Peace Monument in Dieppe Park, which was dedicated in
1967 by the Ontario State Board, was in desperate need of repair. Over the
years the Monument had given way to the elements as well as to vandalism.
On June 14 and 15, 2003 a
large group of volunteers gathered at Dieppe Gardens and set to work on
cleaning and re-grouting the monument. It was a very tedious and
time-consuming endeavor.
A very special thank you to
Brother Dano Zanier whose expertise enabled us to complete the project.
We encourage all brother
Knights and their families to spend a few moments the next time you are in
Dieppe Gardens to view the Monument.
Fraternally Yours
Bro. Brian Beaumont,
Deputy Grand Knight
