The President of the Golden Age and Happy
Hour Club, Dorval Cadieux presented a plaque to Council 2924 in
appreciation for the past 25 years of support that Knight of Columbus have
given to their card club. The plaque was presented by Dorval Cadieuc to
our Grand Knight, Brian Beaumont at the General Meeting held on June 1,
2005.
Dorval Cadieux said that the Golden Age Happy Hour
Club was started in early 1980. At that time they had 6 tables with 24
members. Now they have 229 members. They play every Tuesday afternoon and
usually have 175 to 200 members attending.
Gerry Langdon was the first president, He was
followed by Ray Lauzon. Then came Tom Horsburgh and he was followed by
Bert Charron
