Bro. Andre & Catherine Damphousse
Brother Andre' and Catherine
were married May 9, 1992 at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in. Windsor. Andre' owns his own
landscaping business and Cathy is a waitress at The Backroad Cafe'. They have both been at
their current employment for 6 years now. Although they have no children, they are the very
proud owners of their 2 dogs, Suzi and Oreo.
PARISH INVOLVEMENT:
The Damphousse still attend
St. Thomas the Apostle Parish. They've been members there for over 20
years. Andre' has been ushering for 15 years, works for the Bingo
Committee, participated in the Pentecost 2000, volunteers his landscaping
services to the Church grounds, and also helps out with Rose Sunday. Cathy
is the Vice-President of the Catholic Women Auxiliary League and has been
an active member for 10 years. She is also a lecturer during mass.
COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT:
Andre' and Cathy, together,
are involved with the Heart and Stroke Society, the Kidney Foundation and
Neighbourhood Watch. Andre' in addition, visits nursing homes and spends
time with the elderly. He also helps out with coaching a children's
baseball team. Cathy is also a blood donor for the Canadian Red Cross
Society.
COUNCIL INVOLVEMENT:
Andre' has been a Knight since
June 1, 1991. He was Knight of the Month in April 2000. Brother Andre' was involved as Deputy
on the Building Corporation, helps out with bingos, Goodfellows, Safety Patrol, Chili Cook-Off,
Christmas Party and the Downtown Mission. Together, Andre' and Cathy are one of the top
sellers for the Car Raffles and are both on the Clown Troops, as they enjoy putting smiles on
children's faces.
Our community and council are
very blessed to have such a devoted couple. We thank you.
