John & Brigitte McFaden
Brother John and Brigitte were married July 24, 1965 at St. Rose of
Lima in Windsor. John retired 5 years ago from Overland Express and
Brigitte is a retired teacher from the English Catholic School Board. They
have 1 daughter named Patricia and 2 grand-daughters.
FAMILY MEMBERS:
PATRICIA is married to Robert Johnstone. Patricia works for Daimler
Chrysler in Auburn Hills, Michigan. Her husband Robert is employed by the
Government of Canada. Their 13 year old daughter Kristine attends St. Rose
Grade School. Amanda, who is 8, also attends St. Rose.
PARISH INVOLVEMENT:
As a family, the McFaden’s attend Our Lady of Guataloupe. They have
been parishioners there for the past 25 years. Brother John is a usher,
helps out with the parish picnics as well as the social gatherings. For
her part, Brigitte is a Eucharistic Minister, a reader and the current
President of the C.W.L.
COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT:
Brother John and his wife Brigitte are both also involved in their
community. They volunteer for the Hospice, they belong to the Motor City
Sertoma, Neighbourhood Watch. Brigitte also enjoys sharing her time with
the elders by visiting nursing homes.
COUNCIL INVOLVEMENT:
Brother John joined the Knights of Columbus on February 10th, 2001. He
has since then, been involved in various ways. He is currently a Warden,
helps out with the car raffles, Goodfellows, Rose Sunday, Chili Fest,
Council Picnics, Kids Christmas Party, Vegas Night, Safety Patrol and an
active member of the K. of C. Bowling League. Brigitte is a member of
Clown Troupe.
LEISURE/FAMILY ACTIVITIES:
The McFaden’s are energetic square dancers. During the warmer months,
they enjoy camping and traveling.
The council is proud to have and your family as members of our
