Bro. Mike and Katherine La Butte
Brother Mike and Katherine were married March 30, 1973 at Church of the
Atonement. Mike has been working for G.M for 31 years. They have 2
daughters.
FAMILY MEMBERS:
PATRICIA
(27) is married to Greg McFarlane. Patricia
is a Casino Windsor banker and Greg works for Reko Tool and Mold. Patricia
is also involved a Girl Guide Leader and Greg is a Knight of Columbus
member and a blood donor.
MJCHELLE (19) is a student at Ecole Secondaire L'Essor. She bowls on a
bowling league. You might also know her as one of the clowns on our K of C
Clown Troupe. She is also a St-Vincent de Paul member, donates blood and
actually has worked at our council for 3 years.
PARISH INVOLVEMENT:
As a
family, the La Butte's attend St. Rose of
Lima Church. They have been parishioners there for 19 years. They help out
with the St-Vincent de Paul committee, Rose Sunday and Kathy has sponsored
2 people for the R.C.I.A. program.
COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT:
Brother Mike is extremely involved in his community. He:
* is a blood donor
* donates financially to the United Way
* past baseball coach for Riverside Minor
Baseball
* past president of the Riverside Bowling
Children League
* visits nursing homes
* plays on a bowling league
* plays racket ball
Kathy also give her time to the community by:
* being a Girl Guide leader
* canvassing for the Heart and Stroke
Foundation
* past coach for the Riverside Bowling
Children League
COUNCIL INVOLVEMENT:
Brother Mike joined the Knights of Columbus on April 1, 1986. In 2002, he
became a Fourth Degree member. Since becoming a Knight, Mike has been
extremely involved. His contributions include past guard, currently the
recording secretary, the clown troupe director, past building corporation
director, helping out the Goodfellows, the Chili Cook-Off, Vegas Night,
Safety Patrol, Meat draws, Christmas parties, Rib & Chicken night and
plays on the K. of C. golf league. Kathy is a very supportive wife and is
also very involved with our council, usually by her husband's side.
LEISURE/FAMILY ACTIVITIES:
The La Butte's enjoy spending together. Their favorite activities include
apple picking, strawberry picking, eating-out, the woman enjoy shopping
and mostly enjoy and appreciate family vacations.
The council is proud to have and your family as members of our
