Bro. Brian and Kathy McGuinness
Brother Brian and Kathy were married March 18, 1978 at St. Theresa
Church in Windsor, Ontario. Brian has been employed as an electrician for
Ford Canada for 23 years. Kathy is a home-maker specializing in cake
making. They have three children, two sons and one daughter.
FAMILY MEMBERS:
KEVIN (24) works for Northstar Aerospace.
WENDY (23) attends the University of York and also works for Moxies in
Toronto.
JEFF (19) works for Classic Bingo and is a student at St. Clair College
of Applied Arts.
PARISH INVOLVEMENT:
Brother Brian and his wife have been parishioners at St-Theresa’s for
over 30 years now. Their involvement is numerous. Kathy is a choir member,
a Eucharistic Minister, they both work the bingos and were
involved in the Pentecost 2000.
COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT:
Brother is an active member of his community. His contributions include
being a blood donor, canvassing for the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Crime
Stopper, donates to the United Way, past assistant coach for Riverside
Minor Baseball Association. Kathy enjoys visiting the area nursing homes
and provides entertainment for the elders by playing guitar and singing.
COUNCIL INVOLVEMENT:
Brother Brian became an official Knight of Columbus on April 1, 1986.
Since becoming a member, Brian has been very helpful. He is a past bingo
chairman, sells tickets for the car raffles, attends family picnics,
participates in the Children’s Christmas parties, is the Secretary of the
bowling league, deals cards for Vegas Night and is the volunteer on-call
electrician for the Building Corporation.
LEISURE/FAMILY ACTIVITIES:
The McGuinness Family enjoys camping, family dinners, the annual family
reunion. In his spare time, Brother Brian enjoys fixing up old cars, while
Kathy enjoys baking and spending time in the kitchen.
We are thrilled to have Brother Brian McGuinness and his family
involved with our Council. The membership of 4924 are pleased to have this
family honoured with the Family of The Month for April 2004.
