Bro.
Jean and Irene Dumas

Brother Jean & Irene were married April 18, 1957
at Christ the King Church in Alberta.
They moved to Windsor in 1967.
They have been members of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary
Church for the past 25 years.
Jean retired in 1999 after working 23 years for the
Catholic School Board.
Irene is currently working at Monarch Mattress
Manufacturing.
Jean and Irene have 3 children and 3 grandchildren.
Family members:
Terry
(42)
is married to Judy and live in Maidstone.
Terry works at the GM Transmission plant.
He was in scouts and is a Knights of Columbus member
in Maidstone. Judy works as a hairdresser.
They have 2 sons, Denny (14) and Paul (12).
Gerard (39)
is married to Michelle and live in Windsor.
Gerard has been working at Fords for the past 6
years. He was a
past squire member. Michelle
is self-employed. They
have 1 daughter Trisha (20) who works for the City of
Windsor.
Edouard (37)
is single, lives in Windsor and is a schoolteacher.
He was a past squire member and is an usher at Our Lady of
the Holy Rosary Church.
Parish Involvement:
Jean has been the past president of the Ushers Club
and is currently an usher.
He has
also served on the parish council.
Jean has helped with the parish picnic and has
worked on the Pentecost 2000 campaign.
Irene has also been a past president of the
Ushers Club and currently serves as an usher.
In the past she has also been involved with
the R.C.I.A. program and helped with children’s church.
Presently, Irene is an
Eucharistic Minister and is involved in small faith
communities in their parish.
Both Jean
and Irene have worked on fund raisers for their parish
including pasta dinners, garage
sales and pancake lunches.
Community
Involvement:
Both Jean and Irene have canvassed for the Arthritis
Society, The Heart and
Stroke Foundation and the Cancer Society.
Both have given blood to Canadian Blood
Services. Irene
still gives. Both enjoy playing golf.
Jean has sold the Goodfellows
Newspaper and is a member of The Royal Canadian Legion and
the French Club.
Council
Involvement:
Jean became a 3rd degree member in 1963.
He joined the Riverside council in
1984.
He is a 4th degree member and has been a
past navigator, financial secretary, scribe
and guard. Jean
has also been a member of the Colored Guard and has sold
roses on Rose Sunday at church.
Both Jean and Irene have worked at 4th
degree bingos, helped
with Vegas Night and sold tickets to help purchase an M.R.I
machine for the hospital.
Jean has been a past member of the Knights of Columbus
bowling and dart league and continues to support many
Knights of Columbus functions.
