Dear Brother Knights,
The time has come to focus on our core
values; Church, Community, Youth and Fraternalism. The next year we
need to focus on these areas to be successful as a catholic
organization. I would encourage all members to volunteer some time in
the next year. We have several events coming in the near future; it
all starts with the MDA spaghetti dinner on Labor Day, than the
council and parish picnic, followed by our awards night on September
16th and of course Vegas Night in October. Spare some time
to volunteer for this, or support these functions by attending.
I would like to thank Brothers Marc Pare,
Joe Doumani, and Tom Ray for their work on the car raffle. We sold
over 19,000 tickets, and due to the economic climate in the city, and
the reluctance of malls and stores to allow us in to sell, the council
did a fine job on this annual project. Anyone interested in
helping co-chair the car raffle for next year; please give myself or
the Grand Knight a call today. This is at least a three man job
if not four. If you are interested in any of the programs, please
don’t hesitate to inquire or ask to assist or if you choose, to run
the program.
Have a safe and happy summer, and don’t
golf too much, I know the Maple Leafs are.
