History

Wallaceburg was orginally a small settlement recgonized for its significant contribution to the lumber and boat building industries. Wallaceburg has evolved dramatically over the past one hundred years. Now there are several diversified industrial base including manufactoring of plactics, food processing, sports equiment, plumbing and automotive parts. Wallaceburg is often referred to as the "Glass Town" or "Tool and Die Capital of North America."

Wallaceburg presents itself in its easygoing, friendly manner and is known for its great hospitality to our friends next door (the Americians). Wallaceburg has alot to offer tourists. This energic community is a host to a varity of attractions and special events which include: fishing,boating, golf, many lovely parks located downtown and recreational facilties.

Restuarants and Shopping Upon arrival take a walk downtown to indulge yourself in leisurely shopping, charming specialty shops and boutiques. If your looking for food there are a several restuarants downtown, which will please any one's appetite.
