Team

Viacheslav Shamanov professional photographer (graduate from New York Institute of Photography), artist, designer, aficionado of coffee and swing. Author and mastermind of the project, he certainly possesses the passion for his work. He has the gift of seeing the beautiful and brings it into every home, every family album. He also possesses a rare gift of persuasion: he is able to talk anyone into participating in the expedition and visit Pokoyniki Cape (cape of "the dead") on Baikal's shore... Viacheslav is responsible for all photography, graphic design and book makeup. He has also developed and put together the itinerary for the expedition.

Marina Falkina: Professional translator (Associate Member of Association of Translators and Interpreters of Ontario, ATIO). She is fond of tea, swimming, tennis and ping-pong. Marina is responsible for editing and language arrangement, as well as translation of all texts and commentaries in the photo-album. She will provide translation rendering into three (3) languages: Russian, English and Spanish. Marina hopes to bring readers from North & South Americas closer to the beauty and uniqueness of Siberian gem.

Ilona Grosheva Journalist, writer. All her spare time she dedicates to strong coffee, ethnography and theology. For the past four years she has been closely working with orthodox confession of buryat-mongol Buddhism - Gelug School. Ilona is responsible for creation of text materials and commentaries to photographs, and assisting in development of expedition itinerary. Only two-year old twins can distract her from the favourite task of writing when they tag on wall-mounted rarities.
