Literary Arts Windsor: Promotion, Performance, Publishing (LAW PPP) is the charitable organization behind BookFestWindsor since its debut in 2002. The mandate of LAW PPP is to educate and increase the public's understanding and appreciation of the arts by providing performances and seminars for the general public. The most important of these events is the annual BookFestWindsor.
BookFestWindsor celebrates all facets of the book, combining author readings, interviews and signings with workshops on book arts, book collecting and publishing as well as lectures on various aspects of book history and production. The festival is a celebration of the book in all forms, from the art of book binding to the joy of reading and the freedom of expression.
But LAW PPP is not limited to promoting authors and books solely through BookFestWindsor. LAW PPP promotes local authors by publishing works in chapbook format, encourages performances by holding semi-regular Open Mic nights for authors to read from works new and old for a live audience, and supports poets in its annual poetry contest that runs in conjunction with BookFestWindsor. For LAW PPP, writing is not just for reading: it's for performing and talking about.

Membership Information
Literary Arts Windsor eagerly welcomes new members to become part of the organization. Members not only receive free entry to all BookFestWindsor activities and notices regarding upcoming LAW PPP events, but are also extended voting privileges at Annual General Meetings. You can help keep our literary heritage alive and well in Windsor!
Annual membership fees are $35.00. LAW PPP gratefully welcomes membership fees above that amount, and will issue a charitable donation receipt for income tax purposes for the amount above and beyond the basic membership fee. Donations in any amount are also gratefully accepted and an income tax receipt in the full amount can be issued in lieu of a membership.
