The
red ribbon is worn in memory of those who
have died of an AIDS related illness and
is a symbol of the desperate need for a
cure.
The
Red Ribbon Campaign is a city-wide
fundraising event. Donation boxes
are distributed across the city at
participating retail and business outlets.
Schools
and businesses can participate by holding
Red Ribbon days, where for a small
donation, participants get to wear a red
ribbon.
