Description: Painting of the original Scripture verse hanging in

 front of the LUMC (circa 1940).  Painted in 1940 by Rudy Dyck.

  The verse in gothic script reads "Himmel und Erde warden

 vergehen, aber meine Worte werden nicht vergeh'n".  (The copies of

 this verse in both English and German hang on display in Heritage

 Centre, other copies of these presently hang in the NLUMC, and the

 verse is etched into the stone wall behind the pulpit in the LUMC.)
